Computer Software Engineer, Systems Software

As a successful Consultant you will be able to work independently to design and implement solutions utilizing industry best practices, provide custom scripts, troubleshoot issues in Customer environments and operate as a member of a virtual team. A flexible attitude, capacity for absorbing information and keeping current with industry trends and technology is essential.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Understand business goals and drivers and translate those into an appropriate technical solution

· Be an expert in collaboration migration and consolidation including:

o Office 365 Onboarding

§ Exchange Hybrid

§ SharePoint

§ File server consolidations

§ Microsoft Teams

§ Other Microsoft 365 feature and workload enablement

o Tenant-to-Tenant Migrations

§ Exchange

§ SharePoint

§ OneDrive

§ Teams

§ Other Microsoft 365 features such as PowerBI or PowerApps

o Competitive platform migration

§ Google/GSuite

§ On-premises document solutions to SharePoint or Teams

· Create the conceptual and operation processes for in scope workloads

· Research, analyze, recommend and select technical approaches for solving difficult and challenging development and integration problems

· Share the leading practices with internal team members and clients

· Collaborate as part of larger delivery teams which may include project managers, business analysts, architects, developers, and change management professionals

· Provide technical direction and oversight to implementation teams

· Experience in additional migration scenarios (Active Directory) is a plus

Essential Technical Skills

· Certification or equivalent experience with Active Directory migration tools, such as:

o BitTitan

o Quest On Demand Migrator

o Skykick

o BinaryTree Power365

o Sharegate

o Mover.io

· Strong knowledge of networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP, DNS, and remote communications

· Strong knowledge of secure networking, and secure access controls

· Experience architecting enterprise applications and integration of supporting technologies

Additional Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Industry experience

· Independent, self-motivated and driven, individual

· Team player with excellent interpersonal skills

· Keep up to date with emerging technologies

· Ability to travel for business

Preferred Technical Skills:

· Prior Consulting experience

· PowerShell scripting

· CISSP certification

· Exposure to Microsoft security solutions an advantage
