We assist enterprise clients (Public and Federal) in the pursuit of Cloud and Security based Solutions in the Microsoft ecosystem.
At XMS Solutions, Project Management is the key to our ongoing success. We view this role as a critical component of our operations. Analogous to the Quarterback on a football team, always adjusting to rapidly changing situations.
Yes, technology like Microsoft Project is a component of the PMO, but below are the innate skills you will want to emphasize for us.
What we need:
Experience and familiarity with migrations, conversions or implementations that include services with On-premises, Cloud, or Hybrid based solutions utilizing Active Directory, Azure AD, Exchange, O365, M365, SharePoint and Mobile Device Management, Security solutions including IGA (Identity, Governance and Access) and PAM (Privileged Access Management) services. PMP is a plus.
What you’ll own:
The Microsoft Project Manager will be a key leader who will focus on driving client deliverables forward through appropriate resource deployment, proven project management success and strong leaderships skills. Specifically, the ideal candidate will:

· Gain insight through analysis to lead the best way forward.
· Affect others’ actions or opinions while contributing to the development of the team.

Primary Responsibilities:
· The ability to read the room:
o Being able to blend personality with business acumen to garner influence and credibility.
o Earnestly adapt to customer personalities without disrupting flow.
· Driving the narrative:
o Being prepared for a customer success narrative ahead of customer meetings to provide a smoother and more positive environment for all project resources and leaders.
o Ability to describe and drive challenging discussions to keep solutions to the forefront.
· Escalation awareness:
o Recognizing the time to escalate project challenges within a project, is critical to maintaining control of the narrative to help XMS Solutions stay at the top of its game in the industry.
o Serving internal customer Account Managers involved to address issues so that they can effectively navigate project exposure.
· Lead Scope conversations around change requirements:
o The ability to identify when scope change is required by understanding the technical aspects of the current scope and how changes may affect deliverables.
o Also, being able to take a stand against unapproved change while being professional and reasonable.
o Fearless when having hard conversations with ability to influence sound decision making.
· Follow-up and attention to details:
o Meticulous about meeting follow-up communication that includes details on pending action items and decisions made in previous meetings.
o Understanding the value-add of providing a regular executive status update.
· Project resource task tracking:
o Understanding the value of tracking tasks from each technical resource, ahead of status meetings.
o Leverage internal resources to Identify roadblocks and address potential solutions ahead of group status meetings.
· Proactive approach mindset:
o Consistently engage with clients outside of standing status meetings to recognize challenges and gain agreement for potential solutions.
o Be resilient when challenges arise by working through root cause analysis documentation to incorporate solutions that prevent repetitive issues. in the future.
Permission to play:
Minimum of 7 years in Microsoft tech space actively managing resources and delivering on expectations.
Experience leading varied IT projects with ability to manage multiple concurrent client projects.
Established history of documented successful results.
